An inch short of forgetting your kid among laundry items and hitting the "wash" button would be forgetting you allowed your child to spend the night at a friend's house and then hitting the "emergency search" button. Martha Alicia Guerrero-Rivas called the police and reported her 4-year old son missing. When officers arrived at her house on Montana Avenue, she told them the last time she saw her son was about 16:00hrs the previous day, that's about 12 hours ago. Officers secured the immediate perimeter and investigators questioned Martha who denied having any knowledge of her son’s whereabouts. Later in the morning, police issued a press release as the search for the missing child intensified

7:00hrs, about 30 minutes after the press release, Martha indicated that she remembers allowing her son to spend the night at a friend’s house. Officers went to the aforementioned home and located the boy. The reason why the mother forgot something that is supposedly her most basic and significant duty to herself and to society remains a mystery

Martha Alicia Guerrero-Rivas was arrested and booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center. She was released later the same day.
Irresponsible parenting is an understatement. What could possibly go wrong with this fictim (false victim) mom having any custody of any kid? Fortunately, the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department took custody of her child, according to a police report. Shame on fictims
November 15, 2018. Martha Guerrero was again arrested. This time on suspicion of neglecting her two toddlers after one of her children tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana. 25-year-old
Martha Alicia Guerrero-Rivas was charged with two third-degree felony counts of child abuse.
