Grand Prairie, Texas. Hysteria crosses the line once again as Margarita Levrie reports her car stolen with her 10 month-old baby inside. The report led to a false AMBER alert making the infant a priority, before police learned the fictim's car was actually stolen but she had no 10 month-old baby in the car.
Margarita's English language proficiency was not raised as an issue by investigators who suspected she deliberately made the false child abduction report to hasten the search for her missing car.
"false reports will not be tolerated. They waste taxpayer money and divert police resources from people who really need them."
said Grand Prairie Police Chief.
