Saint George, Utah, USA. "Victim My Butt", Someone exclaimed. I think they were referring to Sarah Elizabeth Rutz who feigned her rape story to the cops, won the fictimhood prize, and kept it while she could.

May 02, 2012. Sarah Rutz filed the false report with police that she was sexually assaulted on a bike path while jogging, claiming she was knocked down to the ground and raped. Really?

After several months of investigation during which Sarah Rutz milked the spoils of her rape victimhood by faking a need for help to deal with aftermath trauma and obtaining money and assistance from Utah State Crime Victims Reparations; detectives gathered new information suggesting the reported rape may have been a hoax. And with the co-operation of Sarah's husband, further evidence emerged suggesting that the fictim had a sexual encounter with a man she met online but apparently attempted cover it up with a fabrication of rape. Nice try! Faced with facts and inconsistencies with her report, Sarah Rutz eventually confessed that she had not been raped and that she fabricated the claims. She was charged with fraud and filing a false report. "See you next Wednesday" , in court.

May 21, 2014. 27 year-old Sarah Elizabeth Rutz became the unluckiest beneficiary of the fictimhood industry so far recorded in modern history. She was convicted and ordered to pay $26,559.96 in restitution for services she obtained as a false victim, to spend 30 days in jail in increments of two days per week starting on May 28, 2014 in lieu of a 3 year probation, she must also complete 100 hours of community service and complete any treatment recommended by a mental health evaluation, in addition to writing letters of apology to those people affected by her pretense . Wow! only if they follow through on the sentence.

“This is a serious crime, and it had an impact on the community,” said the Deputy County Attorney. “It had an impact on the legitimate victims in sexual assault cases.”
