October 11, 2018. fictim Stephen Michael Giampetro, already incarcerated on charges of harassment and terrorist threats, files a false rape accusation alleging he was anally penetrated by his cellmate on the night of October 10, 2018.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Giampetro admitted to another individual that he had made up the rape allegations and contacted “PREA” (Prison Rape Elimination Act) because he wanted to get out of his cell. Also, on a phone call...
October 14, 2018. Prison call in which Stephen Giampetro allegedly said he felt like the cellmate was "gonna do something weird” (to him). But “I made a bigger scene than I had to,” said Stephen.
Investigation including rape examination, routine surveillance logs, interviews and call logs revealed Stephen Giampetro made up the incident and while posting bail for his previous charges.
November 05, 2018. As a result of the investigation outcome, 25-year-old Stephen Michael Giampetro was taken into custody by Marcus Hook police on new charges of filing a false report involving falsely incriminating another person.
November 06, 2018. Stephen Giampetro was arraigned on a preliminarily hearing and remanded to the county jail as he was unable to post bail set at 10 percent of $25,000.
November 09, 2018. Stephen Giampetro posted bail. A new preliminary hearing is listed for November 15, 2018.
“The fact that Mr. Giampetro fabricated this allegation because he had a personality conflict with his cellmate is both reprehensible and criminal,” said the district attorney
