Welkom, Free State Province, South Africa. Suspected fraudster Carin Bezuidenhout takes her deceptive talents even further by fabricating a kidnap, 10-day captivity and rape hoax. Speak of icing on the falsehood cake, we saw similar fictimhood (fake victimhood) here in California.

November 12, 2018. After dropping off her child at school, Carin Bezuidenhout vanished into thin air. Her husband tried to track her whereabouts to no avail. After her disappearance, however, she called her parents from Port Elizabeth and told them she had filed a case of kidnap and rape at Wilma Police Station detailing she was forced into a van by four armed men who raped her thereafter. There were multiple media posts in Dutch and English declaring her missing:

Irrelevant information has been redacted for the purpose of this post. After all said and done, it was just a hoax.

November 22, 2018. fictim Carin Bezuidenhout's husband picked her up in Port Elizabeth and drove her to Welkom Police Station where she was suddenly arrested for perjury, filing a false report. It was revealed there is also an arrest warrant for her in North West where she is facing charges of fraud and theft following an allegation by a Swartruggens farmer who says Carin Bezuidenhout owes him R145,000 (approx. $10,460 USD) for game animals she bought as a game broker. According to a relative of the farmer, Carin's commission had already been paid, but the farmer was not paid for his game animals.

The investigation is on-going but so far one fact has been established: Carin Bezuidenhout is a fictim (false victim) of kidnapping and rape. “We want to send a clear cut message to people out there that reporting of false cases will not be tolerated as it results in fruitless expenditure of state resources and time that could have been utilized to assist people who are in dire need. We will ensure that those responsible face the might of the law,” said Welkom's Cluster Commander.

Carin Bezuidenhout is scheduled for arraignment in court on November 26, 2018.
