Natasha Gadd

Manchester, England, UK. A flirt, a dance, a drink, a fling, and a One-Night-Stand all summed up to a worthy rape allegation. That's according to Natasha Gadd who falsely accused a man of rape, then agreed to take a payment from his estranged partner to drop the case.

July 31, 2015. After a one-night-stand with a man she met at a club, Natasha Gadd and the male shared a taxi ride from his home out to the down town area where the male got out of the cab to withdraw money from an ATM. During that time, Natasha started a conversation with the male cab-driver in which she claimed she did not know how she met her ONS male nor how they got there. The docile cab-driver in a "BelieveAllWomen" spirit then suggested to Natasha that she was victimized, and consequently took her to the police station where she filed an official rape complaint. And so the drama began

The then estranged partner of the accused man (call her "Woman B") managed to find out about the accusation and contacted Natasha Gadd woman-to-woman, in a conversation which led to the then pregnant Woman B eventually agreeing to pay the desperate accuser £3,000 (Approx. $3,788 USD) to drop the case. The women met up but the fictim only received about 33% of the money. The disappointed fictim Natasha said she was homeless and needed money to get to London to see her family. But Woman B assured her the balance would be paid after her allegation was dropped and her accused male (hostage)'s belongings returned by the police.

For the allegation to be formally retracted, Natasha Gadd had to go to Manchester police. Woman B went with her and smartly recorded the journey on her phone, in which both women could be heard conversing and singing together. After confirming a retraction of the rape allegation, Woman B went to an ATM, withdrew cash and handed over £500 (Approx. $631 USD) to Natasha Gadd and told her there was no more money.

However, despite Natasha Gadd's formal retraction of the rape allegation, Greater Manchester Police had an interest in the case and therefore continued investigating. In other words, the UK authorities secretly denied an adult woman's right to NOT BE a victim and therefore continued prying on the citizen. Meanwhile, Woman B ultimately kept Natasha at arm's length though the messaging between the two women continued. In one instance Woman B lied to Natasha about having been hospitalised, to avoid her.

Natasha Gadd wanted more money and became upset not having received more, and at a point threatened to show up at Woman B's home and tell her parents what "had happened". Natasha made threats, but when interviewed by police she claimed she had been 'threatened' by Woman B and her partner.

Eventually, 31 year-old Natasha Gadd, the man she accused of rape (partner of Woman B), and Woman B from whom Natasha demanded more money to drop the rape charges, were all arrested. Their phones were confiscated for evidence, leading to charges against the trio for conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

December 12, 2018. Manchester Crown Court. After a lengthy deliberation, the judge decided she could suspend the prison sentences handed down to all three but described them as 'lucky.' and the whole episode as similar to a 'Shakespearean tragedy'. On the false rape allegation she said she could not and would not make a judgement.

This brings us back to the point we have made on this platform over and over again. A woman who makes a false rape allegation against a man often does not see how her allegation could actually affect women more than it punishes the man. This story is an example of how that plays out with the man's pregnant partner being at the forefront of the fight. Not to mention the generally diminished credibility of rape allegations made by women, each time a woman is caught to have made a false sex crime allegation. The women who make false sex crime allegations send us a clear message that they themselves have trivialised sex crimes in hopes to take us back to a time when women would not be "taken seriously". After all, in such a time, the word of a woman was more credible than it is today.
