. Drake college's Painted Street got black coating. Traditionally, student groups cover the street with colorful paintings in celebration of the Drake Relays but this time it was painted black to call attention to the issue and stand against racism. The black painting will remain till 2019.

received a misdemeanor summons but was not booked booked jail. If found guilty, she could face a fine and be jailed for up to one year, according to police.
