made a 911 call from the fixed line in the lobby of the Stevenson North residence, NIU. According to police, When asked on the call what was going on, Deja gave a description of the man she said was trying to kill her. When she realised the 911 dispatcher knew precisely where the call was made from, Deja suddenly hung up.
Police say when officers conducted a follow-up interview with Deja Barnes
, she confessed she was “just playing” and that she was never in danger. Another blow to the #BelieveTheVictim and #BelieveAllWomen mainstream narrative.
