Owosso, Shiawassee County, Michigan, USA. Girl stalks and harasses with fake social media accounts, and then she reports another student as the perpetrator and herself as the potential victim.

September 11, 2018. Owosso Lincoln High School student Samantha Rae Skutt is alleged to have created fake social media accounts and sent stalking threats and harassment messages to another student, then she accused another Lincoln High school student of having committed the stalking crime against the girls.

Officers investigated the accused student but found nothing. However, when officers questioned Samantha Skutt again, her account of events did not add up. So investigators obtained a warrant to the social media accounts linked to the threats and behold they traced the messages back to Samantha.

March 19, 2019. 18-year-old Samantha Rae Skutt of Corunna was charged with falsely reporting a felony by Shiwassee County prosecutors while the investigation continued.

June 27, 2019. 35th Circuit Court. After having cut a deal through her attorney, Samantha Rae Skutt pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of "attempting" to falsely report a felony, which is punishable by up to two years in prison and/or a fine of $1,000. Watch this space!
