September 02, 2011. fictim April Michelle Buffkin went to the Decatur General Hospital saying she had been raped by "two black men". She then filed a police complaint with details of the alleged attack.
After a quick investigation proving that her story did not add up, April Buffkin was re-interviewed by police. This time, she confessed that she lied about the incident. No official motive provided but this one smells like trying to cover-up an encounter she had with another man.
September 07, 2011. After paperwork, a warrant was issued for April Buffkin, charging her with misdemeanor False Reporting to Law Enforcement.
September 09, 2011. 21-year-old April Michelle Buffkin , from Somerville, turned herself in and was placed in the City Jail with her bond set at $500.
While warning the public that they take this kind of crime seriously, Decatur Police said that April Buffkin's allegations wasted not only their time and money but also that of Decatur General Hospital. Watch this space.
