Madang, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. Woman with itchy lips reports fake break-in burglary and stolen documents in a government office. Police slap her with charges, according to a report by Post Courier Online.
June 27, 2019. Falarmist (false alarmist) Dorothy Mark went to the Madang Provincial Administrator and reported that paid vouchers and other documents were stolen from the Finance Office. Procedurally, the police were notified to carry out a full investigation.
However, after over six weeks of detective work including forensic examination of components within the office, it was determined that the reported crime never occurred.
August 16, 2019. The police consequently took Dorothy Mark in for questioning and eventually charged her with Malicious Reporting under the Summary Offenses Act. She was released on a K200 (Approx. $60 USD) bail with court date set for August 21, 2019. Watch this space.
