West Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, USA. What the H have you been smoking? Man abandons girlfriend with his truck, then reports it stolen. After a brief he-said-she-said drama, William Cox confesses and provides a motive.

February 29, 2020. A special leap year day for many people, but not for William Eugene Cox who chose to be a victim, call 911 and report his truck stolen. Sheriff’s deputies managed to locate the truck along with his girlfriend who told them a different story. According to Ms. Girlfriend, he battered her, drove the truck to the location and abandoned her and the truck there.

When interviewed again on the issue, the fictim confessed he reported the truck stolen because a friend advised him that's a cheaper option than having it towed, according to a report by Ouachita Citizen.

38-year-old William Eugene Cox was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief - filing a false police report. He was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.

This is not William Cox's first time in the aforementioned detention facility. In March 2017, he was arrested for robbery and booked in the same facility. Watch this space.
