Sandhaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK. Woman hits her former work colleague with a false claim of groping. Even though this would be an extremely minor crime, had it really happened, police still waste 72 hours finding the truth.

April 2014. Mentally ill fantasist Teresa Watson went to the police and accused a former co-worker of groping her at Aberdeen International Airport. Despite how minor the alleged crime was, police arrested the innocent man in the middle of the night and interrogated him for six hours before letting him leave.

However, CCTV images from the Aberdeen airport disputed the claims. After a 72-hour investigation into the alleged groping during which the accused male colleague was subject to humiliation and prejudice, Teresa Watson herself was exposed as a liar. She made the whole thing up.

December 18, 2015. Having been found guilty of making false assault claims and wasting police time, 50-year-old Teresa Watson was sentenced to eight months in prison, a verdict which she refused to accept.

The sentencing judge reportedly said directly to her: “As you know, I do not believe a word you said. As a result of these allegations, police called on your colleague." ... “The impact of being targeted by the police in human terms is incalculable." ... "It has been a life-changing event that I don’t think he has fully recovered from.”

According to Teresa Watson's defense lawyer who found it "ridiculous" that the grope liar was led away from the dock in cuffs, “She does not believe she committed this offense.” Talk to the hand
