Amy Marie Cooper

Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. A tale of two Coopers in Central Park. One a Birdwatcher and the other a dog strangler who embodies both white and female privileges. Amy Cooper calls 911 and falsely reports that an African American man was threatening her and her dog, all while she herself was choking the life out of the dog. Although Amy has been charged with Filing a False Report, she WILL NOT go to jail due to her Karen privilege and other factors mentioned down the page.

May 25, 2020. While a white police officer in Minneapolis was murdering unarmed George Floyd in response to a 911 call against him, there was also Amy Marie Cooper in The Rambles Central Park with itchy fingers for 911 against an African American Birdwatcher, also surnamed Cooper, who did nothing but ask her to put her dog on a leash to prevent the birds from being scared away by the dog. It is the park rules anyway, but Amy Cooper just would not be told what to do, not by a man let alone a black one. She went off on him in what looked like a modern rain dance of the overly privileged, in response to the bird watcher allegedly trying to control her own dog.

As typical of such racially motivated incidents, the true victim began to capture the rest of the encounter on cellphone video while the fictim Amy Cooper aggressively approached him in violation of the CoVID-19 social distancing guidelines. She threatened him that she was going to make a racially toned 911 call claiming that an African American man was threatening her life. Meanwhile, she grabbed her visibly uncomfortable dog tight on the collar as if to strangle the poor pet. As the true victim continued filming, Amy Cooper made good on her threats and dialed 911 speaking with a progressively terrified female voice in an effort to trigger the heaviest possible response from Law Enforcement, and the worst possible outcome for the black birdwatcher. "I'm in the Ramble and there is an African American man... he's recording me and threatening me and my dog," Amy Cooper said over and over on the call. "I'm being threatened by a man in the Ramble, please send the cops immediately," Amy Cooper yelled in a distressed heavy breathing voice. Fortunately for our society, both Coopers left the area before the police arrived.

This video instantly went viral. Mainstream media took up the incident and got both sides of the story, with Amy Cooper continuing to claim that she felt threatened. Eventually, due only to the backlash against her, she realized she was wrong and issued a 'Karen style' regret not forgetting to mention that she's "not a racist". Of course. She was fired from her investment firm job but sure deserves to be re-hired as a horror movie actor after that 911 call performance. On her animal cruelty and racist false reporting, Amy Cooper was not charged with any crime, just like the other privileged Karens here, here, and here.

June 04, 2020. Racist Amy Cooper still faces no legal consequences for her actions. In fact, her dog, Henry, which she surrendered to Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue for a health check-up following the virality of the Central Park incident video, was returned to her. Amy now has another chance to strangle the shit out of Henry, especially while there are no cameras. Who knows!

July 06, 2020. Due to pressure on the authorities in the nationwide protests against systemic racism, 41-year-old Amy Marie Cooper was finally charged by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office with a 3rd Degree misdemeanor for Falsely Reporting a crime. That is the least severe charge in the US. She is expected to appear before a judge in Mid-October 2020. Apparently, there are serious issues with the way this case is handled so far...

First of all, even with viral video evidence, it took 6 weeks and public pressure against racism for the authorities to finally charge Amy Cooper with the lowest possible crime. Secondly, they have decided to delay another 13 weeks to arraign Amy Cooper in court. If you can smell what they're cooking, it's a tactic to wait out the anti-racism atmosphere so they won't have to face Amy with the worst possible punishment for her crime, which is a fine in lieu of 180 days in jail. Not one year in jail as stated on the affidavit and exaggeratedly reported by the media. Just a month before the Central Park incident, New York released 1,500 prisoners to prevent the spread of CoVID-19, and there is pressure on the governor to release more. Those are prisoners who were charged or convicted for more serious offenses. That indicates there is no room for a lying white woman in jail. That further reduces the worst possible punishment for Amy Cooper to probation.

Additionally, the police claim that the true victim of this incident, the black birdwatcher, has "refused to co-operate with the investigation". You can wonder why his co-operation is necessary when they have video evidence plus a confession by Amy Cooper herself. Imagine if this was a black on white crime, imagine if the police would have waited for co-operation from the white victim before they proceeded with screwing the black accused perpetrator. That does not happen.

As you can see, all elements are working hard to generate as much sympathy for Amy Cooper as possible so she can get off the hook. And when she does, ask yourself again what "systemic racism" entails in this country. Remember it is not just about white cops killing colored civilians for little or nothing. It is not just an incarceration system that disproportionately targets minorities no matter how minor the crime they are suspected of committing. Remember 86% of racially motivated 911 calls against black people are done by white women who also happen to sit on top of the believability hierarchy in our society. Remember the intersection of feminism in this branch of systemic racism and how specifically white women are almost always vindicated for calling the cops against men, especially black men.

-- Update --

February 16, 2021. All charges against Amy Cooper were thrown out of court by feminist Judge, Anne Swern, going by the recommendation of the District Attorney, Joan Illuzzi-Orbon. The convenient excuse by the prosecutors was that Amy Cooper completed a diversionary counselling program that was "meant to educate her on the harm of her actions". The Manhattan prosecutors, expressing their satisfaction with Amy Cooper's performance, described the program as "an alternative, restorative justice solution." The presiding judge went ahead and threw out the case over video conferencing. There was no specific details released on the so-called "alternative, restorative justice solution," nor what it entailed nor how it applied to Amy Cooper.

Like we always say, in this society, there is no solving racism without solving the female privilege and entitlement which we call The Karen Pass. Amy Cooper is not the first and certainly not the last. Watch this space
