Live Oak, Florida, USA. Criminal mom, Roseangel Sanchez, concocts child abduction story claiming her two children were taken by men. Her hoax triggered Amber Alert and search efforts before her lies were discovered to be her attempt to avoid initial charges.

September 27, 2018. fictim Roseangel Sanchez goes to Florida with a man yet unidentified. The two went into a food store in Live Oak attempting to cash in fraudulent checks. The store employee noticed and called authorities on the spot. As Roseangel's male accomplice sensed trouble he quickly drove off the scene leaving Roseangel to try fleeing on foot, but she was stopped by police.

Facing possible fraud charges, Roseangel decides to play the victim by falsely reporting to police that her 7-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were abducted in Live Oak by men who also threatened to hurt them if she went to the police. She claimed the children were being driven to Texas, which sparked a nationwide AMBER Alert. Police in both Florida and Texas began an unnecessary search.

Actually, Roseangel's children were with their grandparents in Huston. Police in Texas went to the children's school and confirmed they were present all morning. When confronted with the facts, Roseangel Sanchez reportedly confessed to fabricating the story. It is believed she did so to divert police attention from moving ahead with the fraud charges against her.

September 29, 2018. A 24-year-old Roseangel Sanchez already in custody at the Suwannee County jail on charges of fraud and passing forged checks, faces additional charges, including filing a false police report.
